Medical Benefit Plan Coverage

Wellness Discount

This year only, employees and spouses who completed the requirements for the 2019 wellness discount will be grandfathered into the plan to receive the wellness discount in 2020. The employees will not have to complete biometric screening and the HRA (health risk assessment) to receive the discount. If employees did not complete the requirements last year, but would like to receive the discount in 2020, they can still complete the biometric screening and HRA from September 3 through November 1 to be eligible. The discount is $50 per month for employee only coverage and employee + children coverage, and $75 per month for employee + spouse and employee + family coverage. Please visit  Vitality  if you wish to complete the HRA.

Vitality Health Review for 2020

Employees must complete the biometric screening and/or HRA during the 2019 period to receive Vitality points. The Vitality Health Review (HRA) is an interactive health assessment available online on Vitality's Website and through Vitality's mobile app: Vitality Today. For questions or more information, please contact the Benefits office at 314-977-2595, or email benefits@slu.edu

Biometric Screenings for 2020

From September 3 to November 1, the University will sponsor Vitality Check free screenings to employees and their covered spouses. Completion of the screenings and the Vitality Health Risk Assessment (HRA)  by November 1 entitles individuals to receive Vitality points and a wellness discount if not already receiving it.

Screenings will be administered from September 3 through November 1 at the Simon Rec Center, St. Louis University Hospital and the University Club Tower. An appointment is required for the screenings. Please click here to schedule at the Simon Rec Center or SLU Hospital or call 314-977-5033 for screenings on Tuesday mornings (beginning September 10) from 7 a.m. – 10 a.m. only at the University Club Tower.
