The program for bone marrow and hematopoietic cell transplantation performs autologous and allogeneic transplants for patients with leukemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, amyloidosis, myelodysplasia, myeloproliferative disorders and germ cell tumors. Allogeneic stem cell transplants are performed with either matched related or unrelated donors, cord blood grafts or haploidentical related donors. Based on patient age and comorbidities, transplants are given after either marrow-ablative or reduced-intensity conditioning treatment. Stem cell transplants are performed by a team of physicians subspecialized in hematopoietic cell transplantation with more than 30 years of experience in the field of stem cell transplantation.
