IT Security Training
Saint Louis University takes protecting the organization, its intellectual property and any personal or confidential information extremely serious.
In October 2016, SLU began implementing a new Information Security Awareness Training program for all University staff. Faculty, graduate assistants, and student workers will begin the training in Februrary 2017. The objective of this training is to reduce risk to the University by educating the community on how to protect the University's data, network and other IT resources. This training will also meet certain regulatory, statutory and industry compliance requirements such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and FISMA. Moving from a compliance-focused model to a model that promotes awareness and changes behavior is evidence of our commitment to all members of the University community.
