You Can Book Me - Appointment Bookings within O365

ITS has partnered with YouCanBook.Me (YCBM) to replace the Google Calendar appointments feature that allows users to share a link that enables others to schedule time on their calendar.

YCBM will be a great addition to the Office 365 tool set and will replace back and forth email conversations when trying to schedule office hours, meetings, or appointments. Examples include assisting professors/advisors and students by providing a centralized interface through which students can reserve an available section of a professor or advisor's time.  It is important to note that YCBM is not approved for use with protected health information. 

The following instructions are available on this page:

To use YCBM, you will need to sign up for an account.  

To do so please follow the below steps (click here for a PDF version of the instructions with images):

  1. Go to https://youcanbook.me 
  2. Click Sign Up in the top right corner
  3. Click Create account via Microsoft
  4. Log-in with your SLU O365 Email address
    • i.e. firstname.lastname@slu.edu or first.last@health.slu.edu
  5. If prompted, enter your SLU Net Id and SLU Net password for the SLU SSO login and verify using multi-factor authentication
  6. Select a plan type
    • The free plan is the suggested option
  7. Click Next Step
  8. Enter your account details 
  9. Checkmark the Agree to Terms and Conditions box
  10. Click Next Step
  11. Choose a personalized URL for booking profile
    • This is the address that you will share with others (students, colleagues, guests, etc) so that they may book appointment times with you.
    • You may either choose your own URL or use one of the suggestions. 
  12. Click Next Step
  13. Select a theme for your booking page 
  14. Click Let's Get Started to load your new profile 
  15. Start the tutorial on how to use Youcanbook.me

After signing up for a YCBM account, we recommend specifying the time zone in the application

To do so please follow the below steps (click here for a PDF version of the instructions with images):

  1. Go to http://youcanbook.me
  2. Click Sign in With Microsoft
  3. Log-in with your SLU Office365 account
    • i.e. firstname.lastname@slu.edu or first.last@health.slu.edu
  4. Click Edit Profile button from the main dashboard
  5. Click Times & Availability on the left hand column
  6. Click Language and Timezones link on the menu
  7. Uncheck Automatically detect time ... my calendar box
  8. Select USA/Central from the drop down menu 
  9. Click the Save Changes 
  10. You should see the schedule in the background change time zones automatically in the background. This will immediately be live on your booking page as well.

If you have signed up for a YCBM account and choose to no longer use your account, please delete your account. 

To do so please follow the below steps (click here for a PDF version of the instructions with images):

  1. Go to http://youcanbook.me
  2. Sign into your existing Youcanbook.me account
  3. Click Sign in With Microsoft
  4. Log-in with your SLU Office365 account
    • i.e. firstname.lastname@slu.edu or first.last@health.slu.edu
  5. Click the Settings Gear icon in the top right corner
  6. Select your account
  7. Select Delete Account
  8. Review the information about deleting the account
  9. Checkmark the I have read the warnings box
  10. Click the Delete the entire account button
