One-Time Volunteer Opportunities

Please note that in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, one-time events and programs held by community organizations are extremely limited. November

Who: Nourish Community STL,  food access program that distributes food to families at our weekly food distribution.
What: Volunteers are needed to help bag food items, greet families, load cars, and help with clean up. Masks, gloves, and sanitation stations are available at every location.  
When: Any day Wednesdays through Saturdays (November 3 - December 18), anytime 10:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Where: Various locations throughout city, but especially needed at (click each location for directions via Google Maps):  Ritenour Food Pantry, St. Samuel Church, and Carniceria Latino Americana.

Who: Southside Early Childhood Center.
What: Volunteers are needed for the first ever Virtual Trivia Night fundraiser, assisting with judging/scoring, managing the raffle and general technological issues.
When: Saturday, November 17 from 5:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Where: Volunteers will gather at 2101 S. Jefferson Ave. (Click for directions via Google Maps)

Who: St. Louis Shakespeare Festival.
What: Volunteers are needed to help with a Christmas Carol project in the Central West End. Visitors will take a visual stroll of windows based on the novel.  Assist with painting stencils of bells and other decorations on the street to set up the event. 
When:  Monday, November 23 or Tuesday, November 24, anytime 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Who: SouthSide Early Childhood Center.
What: Volunteers are needed to help us assemble and distribute Thanksgiving take-home kits for families in need.  Masks and social distancing will be enforced. 
When: Monday, November 23 either 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. or Noon - 2 p.m.

Who: Family Hospice
What: Volunteers are needed to help with the Tree of Memories fundraising event, assisting people who have lost loved ones with the purchase of angel ornaments to remember them. Masks and social distancing will be required. 
When: Any day December 2 - 22, anytime 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Where: Food Court at St. Claire Square (Click for directions via Google Maps)
