You are encouraged to make your travel arrangements to Madrid accordingly, as the welcome sessions are mandatory.
New first-year, transfer and study abroad students should plan to be at SLU-Madrid on Monday January 7. Mandatory welcome sessions will be held on Tuesday, January 8, in the afternoon.
New first-year or transfer students should plan to be at SLU-Madrid on Saturday, Sept. 1. The orientation program, featuring a scavenger hunt, information sessions and time for sports and games, will take place at the Fray Luis de León Cultural Complex, a retreat center located in the scenic Guadarrama Mountains outside Madrid. The two-day program is mandatory for all new first-year and transfer students.
If you are required or advised to take an institutional TOEFL exam, you will do so during the two-day retreat.
Students will return to campus on Monday, Sept. 3, for the Convocation and Family Welcome, a ceremony which officially marks the beginning of your studies at SLU-Madrid.
If you are a study abroad student, make your flight arrangements to arrive at Madrid-Barajas Airport on Sunday, Sept. 2. Study abroad welcome sessions will be held on Monday, Sept. 3, in the afternoon.
