Faculty News: Dr. Ingram on Religious Reform in Late Medieval Spain
Professor Kevin Ingram, Ph.D. (History), in collaboration with Professor Juan Ignacio Pulido, Ph.D. of the Universidad de Alcalá, held a sixth international conference on Converso and Morisco studies in Alcalá de Henares. Timed to coincide with the 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation, this year's conference theme was "The New Christians and Religious Reform in Medieval and Early Modern Europe." Twenty-two scholars from Spain, U.S., France, U.K., Switzerland and Canada took part in the conference, with Dr. John Edwards of Oxford University delivering the keynote address. A selection of the papers will form the fourth volume of Professor Ingram's series The Conversos and Moriscos in Late Medieval Spain and Beyond, published by Brill Academic Press.
