Faculty News: Music Professors Ólafsdóttir and Jáuregui Perform in London's Wigmore Hall
SLU-Madrid Music professors Gudrún Ólafsdóttir (Voice and University Chorale) and Francisco Javier Jáuregui (Guitar and Music Coordination) performed the recital "Singing Through Spain" with violinist Elena Jáuregui as the Aglaia Trio at London's most prestigious chamber music venue, The Wigmore Hall. The concert was made up of Spanish songs in five different languages that are, or have been, spoken in Spain: Castilian, Basque, Catalan, Arabic and Ladino. Most of the songs performed were composed by Francisco Javier Jáuregui and can be found on the CD "Secretos Quiero Descubrir", released by ABU Records, available on Spotify and Apple Music.
