Loth '15 Excels as Business Developer for HP
Upon graduating from SLU-Madrid with a B.A. in Political Science/International Relations and a B.S. in Business Administration/International Business, Max Loth '15 launched his career with Fon, the creator of the world's largest WiFi network based on the sharing economy. Starting as an intern, Loth quickly proved himself in the field and was ultimately promoted to business developer and account manager for the MENA region.
In his current position at Hewlett Packard, HP Inc., in Barcelona, Max works as Business Developer for 3D Printing. He is a member of a three-person team managing the DACH region. He works closely with channel partners and the Marketing Department to generate business and engage with prospective clients through customer visits, trade shows, marketing campaigns, etc. At HP Inc., he also enjoys the team-building activities offered onsite at the facilities in the HP Sant Cugat Site, including squash, tennis, football and more.
Max cites his time at SLU-Madrid for helping him learn to formulate strong and persuasive arguments, a skill he routinely employs in standalone presentations, conversations with customers and internal company meetings. It also taught him to respect and understand situations from different cultural perspectives, skills which are high in demand in today's global business world. With the goal of one day managing his own team, he is constantly looking to learn new skills and develop as a professional as he strives to reach his personal as well as business targets, quarter by quarter.
