Engineering, Aviation and Technology

"Thanks to the quality of education that SLU is offering both in Madrid and in St. Louis, our graduates secure employment in industrial research and management, research in laboratories, and as university professors in Spain and elsewhere. We are proud not only of offering American education in Europe, but also offering our students the chance to discover the true meaning of the word international preparation."

Dr. Taieb Gasmi
Program Director

Future leaders in the rapidly changing world of engineering, aviation and technology pursue their degrees through SLU’s Parks College, founded by Oliver “Lafe” Parks in 1927, just two months after Charles Lindburgh’s historic trans-Atlantic flight. Saint Louis University also bridges the Atlantic, offering rigorous and internationally recognized undergraduate degrees that can be started on SLU's Madrid Campus and completed on the campus in St. Louis, Missouri.

Parks College is among the leading colleges of aviation, engineering and science. Parks fosters excellence through a focus on value-centered research and ethical practice. Our mission is to cultivate leaders and thinkers in aviation, engineering and science by teaching values, knowledge and skills in the pursuit of truth.

Accreditation of Engineering Programs

What is accreditation and why is it important?

Accreditation assures students and prospective employers that an educational degree program has met stringent industry standards of quality. It ensures that graduates have received quality training and education and are capable of taking on a broad range of professional responsibilities.

Accreditation has two fundamental purposes:

  1. To ensure the quality of the institution or programs, and
  2. To help improve the institution or program.

Accreditation of Saint Louis University Degree Programs

SLU-Madrid and Parks College undergraduate degree programs are accredited by their respective agencies. The following engineering programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and technology (EAC of ABET).
