Assistant Program Director

Saint Louis University School of Medicine's Department of Otolaryngology Training Program

Welcome to our program website. We are delighted that you have shown interest in our residency training program at Saint Louis University (SLU). My name is Scott Walen and in January 2015 I became Associate Program Director. I was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, did my medical training at the University of Saskatchewan, and my residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Calgary. I was then fortunate to train in a Facial Plastic fellowship under Dr. Gregory Branham at Washington University in St. Louis. I have been a part of the SLU Otolaryngology department since July 2012. My practice includes facial reconstruction, facial trauma, functional rhinoplasty, and cosmetics of the face, head, and neck. S.G. Walen, MD, FRCS(C)

At SLU I am committed to growing the Facial Plastic division and also have a deep interest in resident education. With Dr. Antisdel and Ms. Vandever, we form a team that assists with all aspects of resident training. We feel that SLU is truly a great place to learn. Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding our program.

Sincerely,

S.G. Walen, MD, FRCS(C)
