As a native Texan, Dr. Halloran received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Following her residency at Vanderbilt, she completed a research fellowship in general academic pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she completed a Masters of Science in Public Health. She joined the faculty at Saint Louis University in 2005 as an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Academic Pediatrics. Dr. Halloran’s research is centered around infant health outcomes. Her focus is on the effect of pregnancy on infant and childhood health outcomes using large databases including birth certificates and insurance claims although she has expanded into primary data collection as she mentors junior faculty.
