CADE Offers SLU Community Discounts on Orthodontic Care
03/16/2021
The Saint Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education (CADE) offers orthodontic services with experienced faculty guidance and the continual commitment to investment in state-of-the-art technology and procedures.
In addition to traditional braces, CADE residents provide clear aligner therapies including Invisalign, and use digital scanning as a part of their curriculum.
Clear aligners have advantages over traditional metal braces including:
- Flexible and removable – Aligners are removed to allow for easier brushing and flossing, and there are fewer restrictions with eating.
- Simplicity – Each tray is worn for one or two weeks and then replaced with the next one in the series. The patient will notice changes in the alignment of their teeth, and they will be on their way to a straighter, healthier smile.
- Comfort – Aligners are made from a colorless, flexible plastic material that has smooth, rounded edges so they don’t irritate the mouth like traditional braces can. Active patients can play sports, sing, dance, act, model while straightening their teeth.
Although not every patient can use aligners for their orthodontic issues, many common problems can be successfully treated. Patients who had previous orthodontic treatment and have had shifting are very often good candidates for aligners.
CADE’s treatment and service fees are approximately 50% lower than the prices in a private practice. Additionally, SLU employees receive a 10% discount, and that discount extends to the SLU employee’s immediate household family members. SLU students are also eligible for the 10% discount at CADE.
CADE is in Dreiling-Marshall Hall and features clinics in endodontics, periodontics and pediatric dentistry.
