Paniagua Named to National Board

Miguel Paniagua, M.D., associate professor and director of Saint Louis University's internal medicine residency program, has been elected to serve as an at-large member of the National Board of Medical Examiners' Executive Board.
A subspecialist in geriatric medicine and hospice and palliative medicine, Paniagua is the recipient of numerous awards for outstanding teaching, including the Saint Louis University Golden Apple Award and Distinguished Teacher Award for Humanism.
The National Board of Medical Examiners is an independent, non-profit organization that provides a common evaluation system and standards for all doctors seeking an initial license to practice medicine in the United States. It is governed by its executive board of 12 members.
