Meet our Newest Academic Advisor, Sharon Spicer!
Sharon earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Studies from School for Professional Studies and continues her Master's studies in Public Administration at Saint Louis University. This has given Sharon a clear understanding of the non-traditional learning environment and how to assist students to achieve successful results. Sharon is excited to work with adult learners and help them achieve their educational goals. Please join SPS in welcoming Sharon Spicer.
SPS Staff Giving Back to the Community!
SPS faculty and staff volunteered at SLU's Campus Kitchen this week to help prepare meals for those in need in our #STL community. The kitchen is always in need of volunteers to cook, package and deliver food. Check it out this link and get involved!
Graduating in October or December of 2015? Don't Forget Your Application for Degree
If you anticipate graduating from your undergraduate degree or certificate program in October or December, please complete an online graduation application through Banner Self-Service by Wednesday, September 30. Your advisor will complete a graduation audit once he or she receives your application. The audit confirms that you have met the minimum overall GPA of 2.0, the minimum number of credit hours for the degree, specific course requirements of the degree, and that your transfer courses are congruent with our transfer policy. Students who have previously applied for graduation must complete the application through Banner-Self Service even if a graduation audit has already been completed.

Study Tip of the Month
Take short breaks frequently. Your memory retains the information that you study at the beginning and the end better than what you study in the middle.
Reflect and Connect
"You can learn new things at any time in your life if you're willing to be a beginner. If you actually learn to like being a beginner, the whole world opens up to you."
Take some time to think about what it is like to begin something anew and try to enjoy that process.
