Mallikarjuna research interests include modeling and analysis of electric machinery, and power and stability of electrical transmission lines.

Professional Organizations and Associations

Mallikarjuna is very active professionally and was Chair of the IEEE St. Louis section during 2008. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE).

Community Work and Service

He first joined Parks in 1989 as an Assistant Professor to the Department of Electrical Engineering, and was promoted with Tenure to Associate Professor in 1995. He served as department Chair from 1999 to 2002 and again from 2010 to 2016. During his term as Chair, the department was re-accredited by ABET.
