Saint Louis University

Students who are part of the TRiO-Student Support Services program have two unique scholarship and grant opportunities available to them-Grant Aid and the Dr. Johnson Book Award. Both can be very competitive and come with their own set of restrictions. Grant Aid is awarded each spring semester, primarily to freshmen and sophomore participants. To learn more about Grant Aid you can visit the Grant Aid section of our website. The Dr. Johnson Book Award competition takes place over the summer and helps to cover the cost of students' books for the year. This scholarship is run by an office outside of SSS, but is only open to SSS students. Information on the scholarship will be sent to students in the spring semester when it becomes available and will be posted here.

Outside of these opportunities, SSS can help students search for other scholarship opportunities, write letters of recommendation, craft an outstanding personal statement and more. The first step is to ask!
