Real Robotics II

Building a Robot - Programming a Robot - Legos - Problem Solving - Critical Thinking

Program Information

Have you ever imagined what it would be like to solve one of the world's biggest problems? Have you ever dreamed of creating brand new things? Have you ever thought about how you can use math, science, and your imagination to make the world a better place? Well, all of these things are possible in your future and the VEX IQ robotics platform is a fun and exciting way to learn the skills you need to get there!

Students start with step-by-step instructions to build robots, and perform remote-controlled and automated tasks to get their robots working. Later, students will be encouraged to experiment with their bots, discovering how to make them move in different directions, make sounds or make different motions, react and interpret their environment.

Students will also gain basic experience with coding and logic as we use the RobotC VexIQ environment to program the robots and watch in amazement as they move about and interpret their world autonomously. And of course, the main event as always, we build with a crescendo to Battle Bots - the destruction the kids love!
