Conversations for the Decade Ahead

As we pursue our strategic goal of becoming a “national exemplar of transformative educational and research excellence,” we will engage in a year of community-wide conversations about the rapidly changing environment of academia.

Drawing national experts in higher education, this new speakers series will serve as a foundation for wider community discussions on:

  • The challenges facing institutions of higher education, and SLU in particular
  • The future of higher education and how SLU may position itself in that future
  • The innovations taking place in higher education and the steps SLU may take to become the leading innovator among Catholic universities

For some lectures, speakers will be available to participate in small-group workshops with faculty, staff and administrators. If you are interested in hosting a workshop within your unit or for a group of colleagues, contact Doug Williams for more information.

To supplement the lectures and workshops, a library of articles about higher education has been established for members of the SLU community.
