Saint Louis University has a variety of campus visit options to accommodate your needs and fit your schedule. We invite you to explore our beautiful, urban campus and welcoming community with your family. We want you to feel like our guest; let us know if you’d like to see the residence halls, meet with a faculty member, chat with a Jesuit or even sit down one-on-one with a current student. Check out all the options below. If you have any questions, our visit assistants are available Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at 800-SLU-FOR-U or you can email them at visitslu@slu.edu any time.

Visit SLU on your own schedule. Options can include an academic or services meeting, information session, admission interview, campus tour, an overnight stay and/or the opportunity to attend classes with a current student.

Saturday Visits

Can’t visit during the week? We choose one “select” Saturday every month for your busy schedule. This event includes a presentation on admission, academics, student life, financial aid and more! You’ll also meet some current students and you can ask them anything in a panel setting. The visit concludes with a tour of campus.

Graduate Visits

Attend a presentation given by a graduate admission counselor with information on the application and admission process, academic programs, financial services and more. Also attend a panel discussion with current graduate students and you have the option of taking a tour of the Saint Louis University campus. Preview Day: Monday, Oct. 12 or Monday, Nov. 2

Join us for open house event where you will have the opportunity to meet faculty and staff, hear from current students, attend sessions on topics such as studying Pre-Law or Pre-Med, financial aid and scholarships and study abroad. Admission counselors will be available for on-campus interviews. You’ll even have the option to stay overnight in a residence hall! The October date will also feature an exclusive talk by Rob Franek, author of The Best 378 Colleges.

Cultural Connections: Saturday, Jan. 23

Open to all students, this evening program focuses on the multicultural opportunities awaiting SLU students. You can take a campus tour, learn more about your major, speak with current students, apply for admission and even have your application reviewed by an admission counselor.

Additionally, we will offer an in-depth look at one of our most prestigious awards, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship. This scholarship is for academically qualified students who will strive to become leaders on our campus and are committed to Dr. King’s ideals of diversity, inclusion, and service. Be there to hear about this opportunity from our admission counselors, TRIO students, and current Martin Luther King Jr. scholars!

Admitted Student Lunch: Saturday, Feb. 13 or Saturday, April 2

This Saturday visit offers admitted students a unique, in-depth look at SLU! From touring our freshman residence halls to interacting with current students and staff, future Billikens will see what life is really like on campus. Eat lunch in the Griesedieck cafeteria, speak to faculty members about the major you’ve been admitted to, and learn about the next steps in the enrollment process. Parents, we didn’t forget about you! You will attend special information sessions about financing a SLU education and the support available to your sons and daughters to help them along the journey to commencement.

Admitted Student Day: Monday, March 21 and Monday, April 11

Are you ready to be a Billiken? SLU is definitely ready for you! This high energy campus visit maximizes your time on campus and helps make that difficult college decision as seamless as possible. The optional overnight stay on Sunday allows admitted students to experience life in our residence halls and get a taste of the fun and excitement on our campus. Bond with current students as you listen to one of SLU’s award winning a capella groups, attend the Sunday evening student mass in St. Francis Xavier College Church, and experience a typical night on SLU’s campus. On Monday, students will attend an actual class while parents learn more about financing a SLU education and support services on campus. Students and parents come together to meet with a representative from your declared major, as well as learn more about special programs, including Honors, Pre-Med, Pre-Law, study abroad, and much more!

Transfer Open House: Wednesday, March 30

No matter where you started your education, SLU is a great place to finish it. This open house for admitted and prospective transfer students offers an in-depth look at the academic and social opportunities on SLU’s campus. Learn more about the transfer admission process and meet the transfer admission counselor who will guide you through the steps to becoming a Billiken!

Junior Visit Day: Monday, April 25

The college search process can be overwhelming, so it’s never too early to start preparing and SLU is here to help! This event for high school juniors offers an overview of the college application process and a detailed look at SLU. You can take a tour of campus and meet with an admission counselor to discuss all the academic and social opportunities that await you on our beautiful, urban campus.

Please Note: In an effort to show our guests a more realistic view of residence halls at SLU, we use rooms that are occupied by current students. We want to ensure and respect our students' privacy and busy schedules; therefore, residence hall tours are limited during move-in or move-out days, or near holidays and school breaks. Residence hall tours are also limited during the summer due to scheduled maintenance. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask a visit assistant.

Campus Visits are not available on the following days:

  • Monday, Sept. 7 (Labor Day)
  • Nov. 25 - 27 (Thanksgiving Break)
  • Dec. 24 - Jan. 4, 2016 (Christmas Break)
