We are a non-competitive club dedicated to the promotion of whitewater recreation on campus. In short, our goal is to share Missouri's sublime Saint Francis River with a wide range of students in collaboration with the Missouri Whitewater Association. We travel around the country to paddle some of the best whitewater rivers in America.
We were formed by a group of Saint Louis University students in 1995, and have been active within the Missouri whitewater community ever since. We have paddled in Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, and North Carolina, and past members have gone on to tackle some of the most challenging rivers around the world. Our "home river" is the Saint Francis River in Iron County, Missouri.
No experience is necessary to join; we teach basics in paddling, safety, and rescue. Additionally, we have a limited amount of gear available for use by our members. Come to practice any time for free (7:00 pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Simon Rec Pool), but we charge a fee of $25 before you can become a member. Membership is required before you can take a trip with us.
