Overview: The Sports Business Certificate program provides students outside the John Cook School of Business the opportunity to gain specialized knowledge in areas that are critical to success in careers related to the business aspects of sports.
Curriculum: Industry guest speakers, real-time projects, and sports internships highlight this very dynamic and specialized program. The certificate consists of eight courses (24 credit hours), including courses in information technology management, economics, management and marketing.
Faculty: The faculty in Economics, Management, Marketing and Information Technology Management are recognized scholars in the field. They bring the knowledge and experience that make them successful teachers and professionals into the classroom.
Internships: The John Cook School of Business Career Resources Center helps students prepare for careers in business with one-on-one advising, internship search resources, resume development, mock interviews, networking strategies and other resources.
Careers: The certificate program helps prepare students for possible careers in sports business. These can include sports management, sports marketing and sports business planning.
