Study Abroad Application Process
Congratulations on your decision to study abroad!
You are about to embark on one of the most exciting, challenging, and rewarding adventures of your lifetime!
In addition to expanding your worldview and gaining an appreciation and understanding of a different culture, you will develop valuable and transferrable skills, such as critical thinking, problem solving, and flexibility. Your semester abroad is also an excellent opportunity to gain greater insight into your own personal strengths and aspirations. You will gain a sense of independence, courage, and self-confidence that will help you navigate your new life as a global citizen.
- Students should discuss plans to study abroad with their Academic Advisor(s) and Mentor(s) as early in their academic plan as possible to determine which semester is best to study abroad and which courses are best to take abroad.
- Students study abroad Sophomore or Junior year (transfer students must spend at least one semester at the Saint Louis campus before applying to go abroad).
- Students submit study abroad applications one semester before they wish to study abroad.
Applications are due one semester before a student intends to study abroad.
Spring Semester: October 1
Fall Semester: March 1
Summer Session: March 1
