With a population of 118,000, Leiden is a lively university town, with much to explore, having been described as the Netherlands' best kept secret. Take a walk through the city center and you will notice cozy alleyways bustling with shops, bars, restaurants and cafes full of life, young and old. The charming canals are always in eyesight and set the scene for a relaxing walk or romantic dinner. From the seventeenth century on, painters such as Rembrandt and Van Gogh made their mark, notably a world famous reputation for Leiden, which continues to blossom this very day. Spend time visiting world famous museums and botanical gardens or simply relax on a canal boat-tour and enjoy the beauties and floral aromatics that Leiden has to offer.

Leiden Study Center
Located along one of Leiden's many canals, Webster University houses classrooms, offices, library, and a student lounge. An intimate campus (450 students), small class sizes, and the personal environment mean that it's easy to get to know most of your fellow students, as well as faculty and staff. The student council and other clubs provide information about field trips, debates, textbooks, parties, cultural and sporting events. Webster University Leiden fits well into this compact and intellectually rich community.
Webster University's new Living and Learning Center is located just 100 steps from the main building in the heart of the old city center. There are 50 newly renovated, spacious and fully-furnished studio apartments. Each shared room contains private facilities (kitchen, toilet, and shower), furnishings, cooking utensils, crockery, mini-fridge, and bed linen. *Single rooms may be available upon request for an additional charge of $1000. The center is enclosed in a beautiful courtyard, contains a safe bicycle storage area, workout room, and student lounge. Meals are not included. In the event that on campus housing is full, students will be placed in off-campus housing. While we will strive to provide comfortable housing, amenities and locations may vary.
