Fall 2016 Events

Accounting Pre-Interview & Networking Social: Thursday, September 8, 4:00-6:30pm | Employer Registration Here

The event was created in order to allow those interested in interviewing and hiring SLU accounting students a chance to meet accounting students face-to-face before on-campus interviews begin. Also, because there is interest in increasing awareness of companies to our younger accounting students, there will be a networking opportunity with refreshments for employers and students. This event is open only to current accounting majors with some exceptions made for other students with a strong interest in the accounting field.

2016 Healthcare Networking Social: Monday, September 12, 10:30am-1pm | Employer Registration Here

This event is open to current students interested in working in the healthcare industry.

Fall 2016 Career & Graduate School Fair: Tuesday, September 20, 12-4pm | Employer Registration Here

This is a large, general career fair open to students of all majors, from freshman through graduate students and alumni.

Booths are sold out for the Fall 2016 Career & Graduate School Fair. To be added to the waitlist, please register on Handshake. We will follow up with more information when your registration is received.

On-Campus Recruiting

Many employers choose to have interviews on SLU's campus as part of their recruitment efforts to hire Saint Louis University students and alumni. Our Fall On-Campus Recruiting Season runs from mid-September through mid-November and our Spring Season runs from mid-February through mid-April. On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) interviews are scheduled for full-time, internship, and summer opportunities. During this time, organizations representing a diverse range of career opportunities will schedule visits at SLU. Off-Campus interviews are scheduled at any time throughout the year.

All requests must be made through your Handshake account at To create an on-campus interview schedule request, go to your Home page and click the 'Interviews' button under 'Campus' (column on the left of the screen). For additional help, click here.

Types of Interviews

Room Only: A room will be reserved in Handshake but the slots will be managed outside of Handshake. You can select students for this interview schedule but they will not be able to take slots in Handshake.

Open: Specify an application period where if students meet the qualifications set on the interview they can take slots. The students will be able to take a slot immediately after applying.

Preselect: Specify an application period and a signup period. Primary and alternate student choices are selected after the application period. Primary candidates are allowed to sign up before alternate candidates. *This is the most commonly used interview type*

Preselect Continuous: Specify an application period in which students that pass the specified qualifications and are manually selected can take slots. Students will be notified immediately when they are selected that they can take a slot.
