Saint Louis University Events is a full-service department responsible for the scheduling and coordination of all Saint Louis University campus events or groups co-sponsored by a campus organization.

SLU offers many types of venues, each with its own unique qualities.

Auditoriums and Classrooms

Saint Louis University's first priority is educating its students. When class is not in session, our auditoriums and classrooms are available for your event and feature the following:

  • VCR
  • LCD
  • Computer (not all rooms)
  • Microphone and audio (not all rooms)
  • Overhead projector / document camera (not all rooms)
  • Laptop-friendly

Boileau Hall

Boileau Hall, a former photo studio, opened as a conference center and art gallery in 2005. The two-story, atrium-style meeting space is framed by a balcony that offers visitors a unique vantage point.

Catering

  • Groups are not obligated to use the University catering service.

Parking is adjacent and complimentary for this venue. The parking lot is well-lit and has 28 total spaces, including one disabled space.

Busch Student Center

The Busch Student Center (BSC) is located in the heart of campus and features a variety of retail shops, services and restaurants, a full time audio-visual staff, and one of the largest multipurpose rooms in the St. Louis area. Busch Student Center is an ADA-compliant, handicapped-accessible facility.

Audio-Visual Equipment
There is no charge for equipment for University groups, but reservations must be made at least two full business days prior to the event. Five days notice is preferred. No equipment will be delivered without proper notice.

Setup time and personal instruction on equipment is included with your reservation. Equipment is delivered approximately 15-30 minutes before your event start time. If an AV technician is required, requests must be made 10 business days prior to your event date and must be approved by ITS. AV technicians are $50 per hour.

The Center for Global Citizenship is a 70,000-square-foot building located next to Des Peres Hall.

Il Monastero

The former Berea Presbyterian Church on Olive Boulevard, Il Monastero features several multipurpose rooms as well as magnificent architectural features, including a vaulted ceiling and dark wood detailing in ornate patterns.

Pere Marquette

Fully restored in 1995, the Pere Marquette Gallery was the original home of SLU’s library when DuBourg Hall was built in 1888. The four-story space features original wood beams, custom stained glass and intricate brass railings.

Saint Louis Room

Found in the heart of campus, this space is conveniently located on the third floor of Busch Student Center. The Saint Louis Room was the University’s main ballroom when the building was constructed in 1967.

Sinquefield Stateroom

Sinquefield Stateroom was at one time a SLU museum which housed historical University items and relics from around the world. Renovated in 2007, it boasts a high vaulted ceiling and detailed woodwork.

The Wool Ballroom on the lower level of the Busch Student Center was opened in 2003 when the center was completely renovated and expanded. It features state-of-the-art technology, including large projection screens and a built-in wireless audio system.
