Saint Louis University partners with Aetna Student Health to administer the University Health Plan (UHP) to students, graduate assistants and residents enrolled at SLU. Medical, prescription, vision and travel benefits are provided. SLU's student health insurance plan is fully insured and compliant with the Affordable Care Act (ACA). SLU's student health insurance has no pre-existing condition exclusions and there are no waiting periods. Dependent coverage is also available for eligible participants. Premiums for dependent coverage will be billed to the primary member’s SLU student account.

Prescription benefits are subject to the Aetna Advanced Control formulary. This formulary offers complete information about your prescription insurance benefits, including coverage for specific prescription drugs.

Dental Coverage (Optional/Voluntary)
Aetna Dental PPO is optional coverage available to SLU students. Payment for elected Aetna Dental PPO coverage will be made directly to Aetna, not Saint Louis University.
