Midyear Commencement is Friday, Dec. 9

Midyear Commencement will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, at Chaifetz Arena. The event begins at 3 p.m. with the processional. (All faculty, students and administrators who will be part of the processional are asked to arrive at the arena by 2 p.m. that day.)

The commencement address will be delivered by Paul Bracher, Ph.D., assistant professor of chemistry and the recipient of this year’s Nancy McNeir Ring Award, the all-University teaching award sponsored by SLU’s chapter of Alpha Sigma Nu, the international Jesuit honor society.

The ceremony’s student speaker is Laura Kleinschmidt, an MBA student who also is an alumni engagement officer on the SLU staff.

The event also will feature student musicians and the University’s Mastersingers chorale group.

An hour-long reception on the arena concourse will immediately follow the ceremony.
