The Campbell House Museum is one of the most historically significant Nineteenth Century buildings in St. Louis. The museum preserves its National Register listed buildings and important collection of original mid-Nineteenth Century Philadelphia furnishings, family possessions, photographs, and archival material as a center for educational and community outreach programming. The museum is dedicated to continually reinterpreting its collections for exploring issues such as; the development of the fur trade, exploration and development of the west, the growth of urban economies, emigration, historic preservation, principles of Victorian interior design, and the urban issues that continue to shape our region today.

Craft Alliance provides inspiration and education in fine contemporary craft to the entire community through exhibitions, sales and instruction.

- Third Friday Events: Monthly free community events, featuring artist demos, crafting opportunities, light refreshments, and more. Volunteer tasks would include set-up, tabling, assisting with the crafting activity, and cleaning up. These events happen every Third Friday of the month from 6 PM to 9 PM.

- Free Family Saturdays: Craft Alliance welcomes all St. Louis area families for Free Family Studios, a free Saturday morning craft workshop for kids ages five and up with their parents and caregivers. Led by professional artists, families create together in the Craft Alliance studios to connect through craft, exploring clay, fiber, textiles, metals, and more! Volunteer tasks would include set-up, assisting with the craft, and break down. Happens every first Saturday of the month, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

- Shop and front desk support. Craft Alliance has a gallery and shop space. Volunteers will become familiar with Retail Product and Exhibition Objects, as necessary to work with customers. They are responsible for assisting customers, as well as ringing sales through the Point of Sale system and wrapping gifts as necessary. Volunteers will be responsible for other tasks as assigned, such as restocking shelves, dusting, etc., according to the needs of the Gallery. Gateway Arch Park Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to ensure the Gateway Arch, its grounds, neighboring public spaces, and attractions will be a vital, welcoming, and well-supported resource for the community and nation for generations to come.

- Museum Visitor Service Volunteers: Be a friendly face for visitors when they enter the Park and offer valuable information to make their experience the most enjoyable. Volunteers may be asked to occasionally assist in educational programming or provide hands-on interpretation for visitors using touch table displays in the museum galleries.

- Archives Aide: Archives Aide volunteers support Gateway Arch National Park by helping maintain an organized and researcher-ready archival environment. Their work will ensure materials are accessible to staff and researchers. The primary tasks of an Archives Aide volunteer include assisting with basic processing, re-housing, cataloging, and digitization of archival materials. Volunteers may also help with other projects, such as preparation of archival materials for use in the Reading Room or creating Finding Aids.

- Prairie Restoration: Prairie Restoration Day of Service Volunteers support Gateway Arch National Park by restoring the prairie along the North Gateway.  Their primary tasks are to weed, mulch, plant, and help maintain garden beds. Prairie Restoration Days of Service will be scheduled twice a month and supervised by a lead project volunteer.

The mission of the International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum is to educate the public about photographic history, preserve historical items and images, and honor significant contributors to the evolution of the art and science of photographic imaging.

Museum Greeter/Attendant: Museum attendants have the unique opportunity to participate in the development and expansion of museum programs and exhibitions. As the front line of the museum, attendants will be responsible for delivering the museum’s visitor services program. Duties include: Providing front line customer service and tours for the visiting public, conducting sales transactions in the museum shop, compiling daily statistics, and regular tasks that contribute to the daily operations of the museum.

The Missouri Historical Society (MHS) serves as the confluence of historical perspectives and contemporary issues to inspire and engage audiences in the St. Louis region and beyond.

- Public Programs and Member Events: With more than 700 lectures, plays, book-signings, concerts, and special events each year, MHS needs you to continue making these programs a success! If you enjoy working with people and MHS’s lineup of special events and programs, consider becoming a Public Programs and Member Events volunteer. Public Programs and Member Events volunteers are comfortable working with the community and will provide support to staff in charge of workshops, large festivals, and other special events. - Soldiers Memorial Greeter: Do you enjoy interacting with the public and have an interest in military history? Be part of a tight-knit team at the beautiful Soldiers Memorial Military Museum as a Soldiers Memorial Greeter. Soldiers Memorial Greeters welcome guests upon arrival and provide information on upcoming events, programs, and current gallery content. Greeters also process transactions for the small gift shop on-site. Although an interest in military history is a plus, anyone with a positive attitude and helpful demeanor can be a successful greeter at Soldiers Memorial. General knowledge of popular attractions in downtown St. Louis is a plus.

- Early Childhood and K-12 Programs: If you enjoy interacting with young children and families, providing a safe and welcoming environment, and interpreting historical content to young children, Early Childhood and Family Programs is for you! Volunteers help staff in the History Clubhouse, where history comes alive for our youngest guests by sanitizing books and toys, passing out crafts, and creating a safe environment for visitors. Volunteers will also provide support to staff in charge of special events and programs for Early Childhood and Family audiences. Duties vary depending upon the event or program but may include setting up events, greeting guests, checking in guests, and/or leading a craft or activity. Prison Performing Arts involves incarcerated youth and adults in the performing arts to inspire intellectual curiosity and personal development. We nurture the discipline, teamwork and communication skills necessary for successful re-entry into society. We believe we can change St. Louis by empowering young people to tell their stories. Part of our mission is to provide a sense of consistency and security for these students by recruiting passionate, committed tutors and volunteers who are dedicated to attending every weekly session.

Volunteer Tutor: YourWords STL uses one-on-one tutoring, creative writing workshops, and collaborative writing projects to amplify the voices of St. Louis youth. We are seeking volunteer tutors over the age of 21 who are willing to commit to 75-minutes weekly tutoring sessions. All tutoring will take place via Zoom video conferencing.
