Mission Statement and Objectives:Craft Alliance provides inspiration and education in fine contemporary
craft to the entire community through exhibitions, sales and
instruction.
Service Opportunities:- Third Friday Events: Monthly free community events, featuring artist demos, crafting opportunities, light refreshments, and more. Volunteer tasks would include set-up, tabling, assisting with the crafting activity, and cleaning up. These events happen every Third Friday of the month from 6 PM to 9 PM.
- Free Family Saturdays: Craft Alliance welcomes all St. Louis area families for Free Family Studios, a free Saturday morning craft workshop for kids ages five and up with their parents and caregivers. Led by professional artists, families create together in the Craft Alliance studios to connect through craft, exploring clay, fiber, textiles, metals, and more! Volunteer tasks would include set-up, assisting with the craft, and break down. Happens every first Saturday of the month, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
- Shop and front desk support. Craft Alliance has a gallery and shop space. Volunteers will become familiar with Retail Product and Exhibition Objects, as necessary to work with customers. They are responsible for assisting customers, as well as ringing sales through the Point of Sale system and wrapping gifts as necessary. Volunteers will be responsible for other tasks as assigned, such as restocking shelves, dusting, etc., according to the needs of the Gallery. Volunteers may be called upon to lead docent tours through the Exhibitions. The shop is open Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
