One-Time Volunteer Opportunities

 

Below are one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities for the Summer.  If you are interested in volunteering, simply contact the person listed at the end of each entry to make sure they still need volunteers.  This list is updated weekly, so check back often for updates.

July and August

Who - Asbury United Parish, located in the Ville nighborhood.
What - Volunteers are needed as campus counselors for our youth summer camp on-site from July 6-July 30, Monday- Friday, 9am - 3pm. Campers will take part in academic and enrichment activities throughout the day. The camp will also include field trips and a week-long focus on soccer. Lunch will be served daily to campers and Camp Counselors.
When - Any day July 6 - 30.

Who - Guardian Angel Settlement Association.
What - Guardian Angel partners with other agencies in the area for the Back to School shop experience.  Assist low-income children and families with gathering school supplies from around the "shop", help with set-up, clean-up, registration, etc.
When - Saturday, August 8th either 9am-Noon or Noon-3pm.

Who - Special Olympics.
What - Volunteers are needed to assist with a Special Olympics event (Softball Tournament) assisting our athletes with the games, as well as help with registration, food/drinks, and more!
When - Saturday, August 8th anytime 7am-4pm.
Where - Affton Sports Complex, 10300 Gravois Rd. (click here for directions)

Who - Special Olympics.
What - Volunteers are needed to assist with a Special Olympics event (Bocce Ball Tournament) assisting our athletes with the games, as well as help with registration, food/drinks, and more!
When - Saturday, August 15th anytime 9am-4:30pm.
Where - Ursuline Academy, 341 S. Sappington Rd. (click here for directions)

Who - Open Space Council of St. Louis.
What - Volunteers are needed for an Operation Clean Stream event, removing trash and litter from area streams and rivers to improve water quality throughout the region!
When - Saturday, August 22nd during the morning.
