The Department of Health Care Ethics collaborates with other Jesuit bioethics programs

The Saint Louis University Department of Health Care Ethics recently joined with six other bioethics programs to form the Consortium of Jesuit Bioethics Programs. Program directors from Georgetown University, Loyola University Chicago, Regis University, Loyola Marymount University, Creighton University and St. Joseph's University traveled to St. Louis this last July for the Consortium's inaugural meeting.

The Consortium serves to promote education, research and expertise in bioethics consistent with the values of Jesuit higher education.

“Our first meeting was fantastic and allowed us to share information about our programs—about what is working well and what challenges we face,” said James DuBois. “It’s a wonderful group of people, and we will meet again in St. Louis this coming July. Within the next few months, we also hope to launch a website. We’ll include a link to the Consortium from each program’s website.”

Higher purpose. Greater good.
