Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapeutics Hosts Pinning and Awards Ceremony

The Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapeutics hosted its ninth annual Pinning and Awards Ceremony on Friday, July 22.

The ceremony recognized students graduating from programs in magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine technology, radiation therapy and molecular imaging and therapeutics for both their didactic and clinical achievements.

Each student received a pin to wear on their professional lab coat to symbolize their entrance into the career field.

The ceremony also featured the presentation of the department’s notable Mallinckrodt Outstanding Achievement and Clinical Excellence awards.

The 2016 Mallinckrodt Award was presented to Andrew Bulla (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), Erin Mustain (Nuclear Medicine Technology), David Hannibal (Radiation Therapy) and graduate student Nalini Daniel (Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics).

The 2016 Clinical Excellence Award was presented to Lisa Tong (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), Cody Wallen (Nuclear Medicine Technology) and Kelsey Hall (Radiation Therapy). 

Other students, family and friends were also in attendance.
