Billikens Honor National Athletic Training Month

Saint Louis University is celebrating the beginning of National Athletic Training Month by recognizing the certified athletic trainers that work in the university’s Athletics department as well as the students and faculty of the Doisy College of Health Science’s Athletic Training program at the Billikens basketball game on March 1 at Chaifetz Arena.

Athletic Training program faculty members and students will be recognized along with the Billiken Athletic Trainers at the game as Saint Louis University's Men's Basketball hosts the La Salle Explorers.

Saint Louis University is a proud home to 13 Certified Athletic Trainers:

The theme for National Athletic Training Month 2017 is “Your protection is our priority”. The Athletic Department's certified athletic trainers partner with the faculty and students of Doisy College of Health Sciences to provide outstanding clinical and learning experiences in SLU's nationally recognized Athletic Training program.

Doisy College of Health Sciences Dean Mardell Wilson, Ed.D., RD, is very excited to have the opportunity to honor the work that SLU’s athletic trainers do day in and day out.

"Athletics are a high-profile aspect of any university, and our athletic trainers at SLU do a great job keeping our student-athletes healthy,” Dr. Wilson said. “We are very proud to be a part of a night that recognizes the hard work and dedication of the university's athletic trainers and our Athletic Training program faculty and students."

In honor of this event, discounted ($10.00) tickets available: Promo code: NATM. Purchase tickets here. (Please note the promo code is only valid for the LaSalle game on March 1.)
