Maitane Aramburu ('16 BSBA)

Maitane Aramburu

While earning her degree in International Business at SLU-Madrid, Maitane started volunteering at Soñar Despierto, an NGO dedicated to helping children in foster care. She now coordinates a program to financially support the children who wish to pursue a higher education upon turning 18. Thanks to this program, they have granted more than 80 scholarships, rewarding the children's hard work and assisting them as they join the workforce and become independent.

Upon graduation, Maitane started her career at Banco Santander, where she has been growing professionally for the past 5 years, fulfilling different roles within the group and taking an active role in social initiatives such as Santander Women's Network.

Seeking to combine her financial career with her passion to create a positive impact on society, Maitane pursued an M.A. in Sustainable Development and Corporate Responsibility at the Escuela de Organización Industrial. Her current position, on the Santander Corporate & Investment Banking's sustainability team, structures financing products for projects and companies that are contributing to the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
