Public Health and Social Justice to Host National Public Health Week 2026
Saint Louis University’s College for Public Health and Social Justice is proud to celebrate the American Public Health Association (APHA) National Public Health Week. The weeklong schedule features connecting SLU with the broader community, promoting public health initiatives, drives for those in need and much more. Below is a list of just some of the activities taking place during National Public Health Week.
Tuesday, April 7
CPHSJ Tabling Event
- Where: Busch Student Center
- When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- What: Learn more about CPHSJ and our degrees from students, staff and more.
APHA Information Session
- Where: Wool Center, Second Floor
- When: 1 to 4 p.m.
- What: Amanda Monroy, SLU APHA Student Rep – sharing of APHA info, upcoming convention and giveaways.
Campus Kitchen Food Delivery
- Where: Reinart Center
- When: 3:30 to 5 p.m.
- What: Student organized group event to deliver food from Campus Kitchen to local people in community – no car needed.
Wednesday, April 8
Spreading Kindness in Every Card Making
- Where: Wool Center, Room 290
- When: Noon to 1 p.m.
- What: Join us in writing short, heartfelt ‘thinking of you’ notes for local neighbors to the SLU community. Organized by CPHSJ student leadership organizations.
St. Louis Public Health Annual Lectureship
- Where: Sinquefield State Room
- When: 4 to 4:30 p.m. reception; 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. lecture and Q&A
- What: Hear from John A. Rich, M.D., M.P.H., the Harrison I. Steans Director of the Rush BMO Institute for Health Equity at the Rush University System for Health in Chicago and join the Saint Louis University College for Public Health and Social Justice and the Washington University School of Public Health for a complimentary lecture series.

The Saint Louis University College for Public Health and Social Justice is the only academic unit of its kind, studying social, environmental and physical influences that together determine the health and well-being of people and communities.
