Education Policy and Equity Information Session

Please join the School of Education for dinner to learn more about the Education Policy and Equity Ph.D. program (anticipated start term fall 2019). The session will be held January 15 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in Boileau Hall. To attend the session or to learn more about the program please contact us at slued@slu.edu.

The School of Education is developing a new Ph.D. in Education Policy and Equity for enrollment beginning in the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. The new Ph.D. will be an in-residence, interdisciplinary program focused on advanced training in social science research methods; scholars will learn to evaluate educational practices and analyze controversial issues in education policy. The Ph.D. will prepare scholars for careers in academia, think tanks and public service. Finally, the SLU program will distinguish itself through its commitment to methodological rigor, exposure to firsthand experiences in schools, opportunities for collaboration in writing and research with accomplished faculty, and long-term investment in building a more equitable system of education for all students.
