Research Interests

Dr. Tedesco conducts research in the field of political science. She analyzes contemporary politics in Latin America, especially issues on democracy, political leadership and urban violence. She is currently working on political leadership in Cuba after Fidel Castro's death. This project is based on Universidad Torcuato Di Tella from Buenos Aires. Dr. Tedesco is co-directing the research together with Dr. Rut Diamint. Before this, her latest was a four-year project, funded by Open Society Institute (Washington DC), on political leaders in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Uruguay. She has co-edited a book in Spanish about political leaders and co-authored a book in English published in 2016.
