Dr. Goss Publishes Book Chapter on Ex-President Carter

Brian M. Goss, Ph.D. (Department of Communication, program director) recently published a chapter in the volume entitled, Explorations of Identity and Communication (2018, Editor: Carmen Popescu) that was jointly published by the University of Craiova and University of Cluj in Romania.

Brian M. Goss, Ph.D. (Department of Communication, program director) analyzes the discourse on former U.S. President James Earl “Jimmy” Carter in news magazines in a recently published a chapter in the volume, Explorations of Identity and Communication.

The book emerged out of the “Comparativism, Identity and Communication” Conference that was convened at University of Craiova, Romania in the fall of 2017. Dr. Goss’ chapter in the volume extends on his specialization in mass media and analyzed the discourse on former U.S. President James Earl “Jimmy” Carter in news magazines in the first decade of the twenty-first century.

“The conference was small, cozy even," Dr. Goss said. "As concerns the book, I am impressed with how efficiently the faculty in Craiova shepherded the volume into print, there was no dawdling!”
