SLU-Madrid Hits Highest Enrollment Ever for Spring 2026 Term

There is an 18% increase in students attending Saint Louis University-Madrid compared to the spring 2025 semester.

Enrollment sits at 1,645, per data gathered by SLU-Madrid's Office of Admissions in January 2026. Degree-seeking students account for about 45% while the remaining 55% are visiting students.

There is a 10.6% increase in degree-seeking students and 27.9% increase in visiting students since last year at the same time.

SLU-Madrid is hosting just over 900 visiting students for the semester, 615 of whom are students from universities across the U.S. The 292 SLU-St. Louis students make up nearly a third of all visiting students.

The top five sending institutions are SLU-St. Louis (292), University of Michigan (188), University of Wisconsin-Madison (76), University of Virginia (69) and University of Maryland-College Park (51).

The University of Maryland-College Park and the University of Wisconsin-Madison are new SLU-Madrid partners.

The top majors among incoming students this term are business and economics.
