SLU-Madrid Remembers Linda Vogt and Her Lasting Impact on Students
Through the Linda Vogt Cultural Exploration Scholarship, Linda Vogt helped open the door for SLU students in Madrid to discover Europe, engage with new cultures and create lifelong memories beyond the classroom.
SLU-Madrid joins the Saint Louis University community in remembering Linda Vogt, a generous benefactor, passionate supporter of SLU and friend of the Madrid campus.
Linda and her husband, Alan Vogt, established the Linda Vogt Cultural Exploration Scholarship in 2022 to help students studying at SLU-Madrid make the most of their time abroad. The need-based scholarship supports cultural exploration by helping cover travel-related expenses such as transportation, lodging, meals, museum entrance fees and other costs associated with meaningful experiences in Spain and across Europe.
Since its creation, the scholarship has benefited nearly 120 Saint Louis University students studying in Madrid, allowing many of them to experience places, cultures and opportunities that might otherwise have been out of reach.

Linda's generosity reflected a deep belief in the value of travel, curiosity and cultural understanding. Her support helped students grow personally, academically and globally, strengthening the experience that SLU-Madrid offers as an international campus rooted in Jesuit education.
Saint Louis University has published a tribute to Linda Vogt and her legacy. Memorial gifts may also be directed to the Linda Vogt Cultural Exploration Scholarship.
