Research Interests

The research of Alexa Serfis, Ph.D, focuses on the construction of model membranes using Langmuir monolayer techniques.  Studies of their interactions with proteins secreted from viral pathogens is a current interest. 

Professional Organizations and Associations

She is active in the American Chemical Society and serves on a national committee.  As a member of the Committee on Local Section Activities, she interacts with chemists from around the nation to assist them in promoting chemistry in their communities.
