The Highly Cited Researchers list, released annually by Clarivate/Web of Science, includes researchers who demonstrate significant and wide-ranging influence in their fields of study.

According to Clarivate, each researcher selected has authored multiple papers that "rank in the top 1% by citations for their field(s) and publication year in the Web of Science over the past decade."

This recognition places Dr. Ozdemir among the world's most influential scholars, based on citations — a significant achievement.

Ozdemir is a globally recognized leader in the fields of optics and quantum science and technologies. His extensive work on quantum optics, non-Hermitian physics and micro/nano-photonics has positioned him as a thought leader in these rapidly evolving fields. Ozdemir is a fellow of Optica and the Institute of Physics (IOP) and a senior member of IEEE.
