Saint Louis University's educational leadership programs — available in seven degree options — balance scholarship and practice as they prepare you for leadership careers in school districts, non-profit organizations, and other educational settings.

Public Educational Leadership Options

No matter which of SLU's seven educational leadership degrees you choose, you can:

  • Balance work, home and school. The vast majority of SLU's educational leadership students work in full-time positions while completing their graduate program. Courses are offered in both on-the-ground and hybrid formats with schedules designed to accommodate your busy life. Additionally, we now offer the M.A. in Educational Leadership as an online program.

  • Work with faculty members who are or have been practicing educational administrators. We take a genuine interest in our students, serve as strong role models of success and will acquaint you with the profession's challenges and joys. 

  • Collaborate with fellow students in a cohort model. SLU's educational leadership students are part of a learning community during the program and members of a powerful professional network of alumni upon graduation.

Specialty Catholic degree options prepare students to serve in Catholic school settings while meeting the Missouri state requirements, the catechetical requirements for the Archdiocese of St. Louis and the standards from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Saint Louis University's School of Education offers a competitive tuition rate for master's degree and graduate certificate programs so you can earn a high-quality degree for roughly $10,000 per year.
