Lauren Bartlett Receives Fulbright Award to Assist with Legal Education in Pakistan
Saint Louis University School of Law clinical Professor Lauren Bartlett, the director of the Human Rights at Home Litigation Clinic, will work with the Fatima Jinnah Women University in Pakistan as part of the Fulbright Specialist Program. The award is granted through the United States Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.
Professor Bartlett will work with the women’s law school in Rawalpindi, Pakistan to establish their first legal clinic.

“I’m excited to work with the faculty and students to establish the university’s first legal clinic,” said Professor Bartlett. “I believe clinical education is an essential part of legal training, empowering students to put their knowledge into practice, build confidence as future legal professionals, and strengthen their ability to serve their communities. I’m honored to support this important initiative at a university dedicated to educating women in Pakistan.”
Through this program, Bartlett is one of more than 400 US citizens who share their expertise with institutions abroad through the Fulbright Specialist Program (FSP). The FSP sends U.S. faculty, administration and professionals to serve as short-term experts at institutions around the world where they address critical global issues while building relationships, expertise, and leadership in support of long-term interest of the U.S.
