Vincenzo Cardinale treats a wide range of liver conditions, from mild concerns to
highly complex and advanced disease. His areas of expertise include liver inflammation
or injury, autoimmune and genetic liver diseases, disorders of bile flow, cirrhosis
and its complications, and both acute and chronic liver failure. He also provides
care for patients with bile duct disorders and cholangiocarcinoma (a rare and aggressive
bile duct cancer), as well as individuals experiencing biliary complications after
liver transplantation.
Many patients are referred to Cardinale for conditions related to chronic liver disease,
including rare or difficult‑to‑treat liver and biliary disorders. He has particular
experience caring for patients who require long‑term, specialized management and close
clinical follow‑up.
