Office of Ignatian Mission in Medicine
Rooted in Saint Louis University's Jesuit tradition, the Office of Ignatian Mission in Medicine (OIMM) supports learners at every stage of their medical journey, fostering meaningful connections and engagement designed to help both the campus and surrounding communities flourish.
From Pathway to Profession: The Impact of Our Ignatian Mission
OIMM promotes a culture of belonging and partnership. Guided by the Jesuit value of cura personalis — care for the whole person — the office cultivates an environment grounded in holistic learning, formation and support. School of Medicine students, faculty and staff aren’t treated as transactions; they are welcomed and shaped as individuals whose backgrounds and experiences help to inform the positive impact they’ll have on the people and communities they serve.
That impact reaches far, thanks to OIMM’s reciprocal community partnerships. Through its pathway programs, mobile health clinic and resource hub, OIMM operates as both connector and convener, ensuring the School of Medicine’s academic excellence and discovery ultimately strengthen the health workforce and serve as a benefit to all.
