Division of Allergy and Immunology
Saint Louis University School of Medicine's Division of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology is known for its specialized treatment and research of pediatric allergies, asthma and immune deficiency disorders.
Specialized Care for Children's Immune System
The Division of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology provides a distinct set of specialized services, including:
- Acting as a referral center for the Jeffrey Modell Foundation and Immune Deficiency Foundation
- Partnering with the Bone Marrow Transplantation Division to provide transplants for patients with immunodeficiency disorders
- Evaluating Very Early Onset Inflammatory Bowel Disorder
- Evaluative allergic diseases at the Allergy Challenge Clinic
- Treating pediatric patients at its Eosinophilic Esophagitis Clinic
Clinical services include treatments for allergies, asthma and respiratory issues, skin conditions, digestive disorders and immune system disorders.
The division is also active in the community; team members fundraise, offer education programs and partner with the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, St. Louis Chapter to offer annual asthma screenings.
Allergy and Immunology Fellowship
The SSM Health/Saint Louis University School of Medicine Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Program is a fully integrated training program for pediatric and adult allergy and immunology disorders.
This program is co-sponsored by the Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. It’s administered by the Division of Allergy and Immunology within the Department of Internal Medicine, with collaboration from the Pediatric Division of Allergy and Immunology.
