Honors and Awards

In 2012, Margaret was appointed by Governor Jay Nixon as the first nurse in the State of Missouri to the Missouri Health Net Oversight Committee. Margaret also received a commendation award for volunteerism from President Obama for service to the community.

She is a recipient of St Louis Magazine's Excellence in Nursing Award in 2013 with a perfect score as well as the 2014 AANP State Excellence Award. Additionally, Margaret won the 2014 March of Dimes Nurse of the year award in the Educator Category.
