At the annual meeting this June in Maryland, the organization formally announced Kimberly R. Enard, Ph.D., FACHE, SLU's Master of Health Administration program director, as one of four new board members for AUPHA (PDF). Enard also serves as an associate professor of health management and policy at SLU, and is a board-certified health care management professional.

“We are fortunate to have someone the caliber of Dr. Enard in our department and leading our graduate program,” said Michael Rozier, S.J., Ph.D., chair of the Department of Health Management. “Her appointment to AUPHA’s board is testament to both her national profile and her willingness to give of her time to improve the field. I’m grateful she’ll bring the knowledge she gains from the board back to SLU to help strengthen our already excellent program.”

At the same meeting, Rozier was one of two professors to receive the Teaching Excellence Award in Healthcare Management and Leadership, sponsored by the American College of Healthcare Executives.

“Being in the classroom is a privilege I try to never take for granted,” Rozier said. “I’m grateful for the recognition from AUPHA, but I’m even more grateful for the trust our students put in us each week of the semester.”
