Students interested in receiving a scholarship from the Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering should complete the general application and the School of Science and Engineering Student scholarship application found in the Scholarship Suite on mySLU. 

If the scholarship has no other requirements than completing the two applications, you will be automatically put in the pool to be considered if you meet the requirements. These scholarships are marked as “auto-match” below.

Some scholarships will ask students to answer additional questions or submit additional application materials. These scholarships are marked “additional application materials required” below. Once in the Scholarship Suite, click on each scholarship to complete any additional application materials.

Adele Dunne Civil Engineering Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000 - $4,000

Thomas P. Dunne Sr., in honor of his mother, created a scholarship to benefit a student pursuing a degree in civil engineering.

Preference is given to a female sophomore, junior or senior.

Alumni Association Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000 - $4,000

This scholarship is available to full-time sophomores, juniors or seniors. Students must have completed their previous year at Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering  and have a FAFSA on record with Student Financial Services. Students must be active in a student, professional or community organization.

Preference will be given to relatives of Parks College alumni.

Bill and Melissa Benson Endowed Scholarship

Book Fund

This fund was established to help Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering  students with the cost of purchasing or renting books for classes. Students must be a junior, senior or graduate student in the fall and have a FAFSA on file with Student Financial Services.

Christopher and Anne Chivetta Scholarship

This scholarship supports a full-time undergraduate engineering student with a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference is given to new or incoming freshman students. This scholarship can be renewed as long as requirements are met and the general application is completed each year. 

Derenski Family Scholarship

This scholarship supports an undergraduate student in the aviation science program at Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering  with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Financial need is considered.

Preference will be given to a member of the SLU NCAA swimming team.

Donald and Nora Manahan Scholarship and Research Fund

Award Amount: $5,000 - $10,000
Application Type: Additional application materials required

This scholarship provides financial assistance to junior, senior or graduate students pursuing a degree in engineering or technology at Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering, fostering an environment of interdisciplinary teamwork through the support of student projects and collaborative student-faculty research. Applicants must be in an engineering major with a 3.3 minimum GPA. No FAFSA is required as financial need is not a consideration. An essay on leadership and participation in student and professional organizations is required.

This scholarship can pay for tuition, room and board, meal plans, fees or books. This scholarship can also pay for graduate-level research projects. For consideration, a research plan needs to be submitted with the application. U.S. and international students qualify for this scholarship.

Dr. Bellur L. Nagabhushan Undergraduate Scholarship in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering

Award Amount: $1,000 - $3,000

The family of Dr. Bellur Nagabhushan established this scholarship to assist a junior or senior student in the aerospace and/or mechanical engineering programs.

Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need. 

Dr. Cecil Thomas Biomedical Engineering Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000 - $3,000

Eligible applicants are sophomores, juniors or seniors and majoring in biomedical engineering. Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicants must be a champion of diversity and have made an impact on society beyond the classroom.

Preference will be given to students who are considered underrepresented in engineering.

Fabick CAT Aviation Science Scholarship

Award Amount: $3,000 - $5,000
Application Type: Auto-match

Eligible applicants are enrolled in the aviation science program with a preference for flight students. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and show financial need. This scholarship is renewable with reapplication and can cover flight fees as well as tuition.

Frank and Bernice Magiera Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000 - $5,000

Applicants must be a sophomore, junior or senior in an engineering program with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicants must demonstrate a history of leadership activities and involvement in student or professional organizations.

Fred Weber Inc. Civil Engineering Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000 - $4,000
Application Type: Auto-match

This scholarship benefits up to two undergraduate students pursuing a degree in civil engineering. This scholarship strives to award one female and one male student per academic year.

Gerald E. Dreifke Engineering Scholarship

Award Amount: $4,000 - $6,000
Application Type: Auto-match

Gerald E. Dreifke was the former head of the electrical engineering department at the Institute of Technology until the school’s closure in 1971. This scholarship is available to all full-time undergraduate and graduate engineering students with at least 12 SLU credit hours who have a minimum GPA of 2.8. This scholarship is available to U.S. and international students.

 Graduate Fellowship

This scholarship is for U.S. and international graduate students with a minimum GPA of 3.3 who have already applied for aid through Student Financial Services. Students must submit a CV, letter of recommendation and an essay on their research topic. 

Greater St. Louis Business Aviation Association (GSLBAA) Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000 - $3,000
Application Type: Additional application materials required

This scholarship benefits a U.S. citizen who is studying flight science or aviation management. Students may be undergraduate students with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and have a FAFSA on file with Student Financial Services. Graduate students must be majoring in advanced pilot qualifications, flight operations management or safety management systems. Applicants must submit an essay on their interest in an aviation career. Recipients are asked to attend the GSLBAA Annual Trivia Night to acknowledge the scholarship. 

Gregory Bruce Markham Memorial Flight Fee Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000 - $3,000
Application Type: Auto-match

This scholarship benefits undergraduate students in the Aviation Science Program. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 and must demonstrate financial need. This award may be used to cover flight fees only.

Primary preference will be given to students from Madison and St. Clair counties. Secondary preference is given to students who live within a 75 mile of St. Louis, MO in either Missouri or Illinois.

Institute of Technology Civil Engineering Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000 - $3,000

This scholarship is available to undergraduate students who are studying engineering. The student must have filed his or her FAFSA with Student Financial Services and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Preference will be given to civil engineering students showing financial need.

Jack R. and Mary D. Weber Undergraduate Scholarship

All undergraduate students at with a minimum GPA of 2.5 qualify for this scholarship. Applicants should demonstrate leadership and involvement in activities in student or professional organizations.

James and Joan Conway Scholarship

This scholarship benefits a sophomore, junior or senior engineering student with a minimum GPA of 3.4. Applicants must have a FAFSA on file with Student Financial Services as preference is given to students with financial need. 

James L. Cronin Jr. Memorial Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000 - $5,000

Students enrolled in an engineering program with a minimum GPA of 3.0 qualify for this scholarship. Students must demonstrate financial need.

Preference will be given to civil engineering students. 

James Sebesta, S.J., Flight Fee Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000 - $5,000
Application Type: Auto-match

James Sebesta, S.J., started flying when he was 14. He entered the priesthood in 1958 and joined Saint Louis University and Parks College in 1994. In 2012, he chose to use the proceeds from the sale of his airplane to provide a scholarship to help students become pilots. Qualified applicants must be a sophomore, junior or senior enrolled in the flight science program.

John and Mary Ann Capellupo Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000 - $4,000

John and Mary Ann Capellupo (IT '56) established this scholarship to help U.S. students pursuing a degree at Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering  who are also active members of Saint Louis University’s NCAA Division I athletics program. This scholarship will help promote the development of the mind and body, a healthy balance that will serve students well as they prepare for careers in a dynamic and demanding global community.

Preference will be given to students entering their junior year in the fall.

John O’Neill Lab Fee Scholarship

Award Amount Each: $500 - $1,500

All undergraduate students studying electrical engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.0 qualify for this scholarship. Preference will be given for financial need. This scholarship can pay for lab and technology fees.

John R. Manzo Electrical and Computer Engineering Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000 - $3,000
Application Type: Additional application materials required

All U.S. and international students majoring in electrical or computer engineering qualify. Students must have a minimum of 60 credit hours and may be transfer students. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and submit an essay demonstrating technology leadership.

John V. Graff Memorial Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000 - $3,000
Application Type: Additional application materials required

This scholarship benefits a sophomore, junior or senior in the Aviation Science Department. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and have a FAFSA on file with Student Financial Services. This scholarship requires an essay describing the applicant's aviation aspirations. 

Keavy Nenninger Flight Fee and Tuition Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000 - $3,000
Application Type: Additional application materials required

This scholarship supports students studying aviation science or aerospace engineering. Students must be a sophomore, junior or senior in the fall. GPA is not a consideration but applicant must not be on academic probation. A statement describing financial need is required, as well as a statement describing the student's ability to imbue others to live a full and free life.

Kwame Building Group Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000 - $6,000

This scholarship was established to support a transfer student from Harris-Stowe State University who wishes to further his or her education at Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering . The student must have a FAFSA on file with Student Financial Services at SLU and must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. This scholarship is renewable with reapplication.

Malcolm and Elizabeth Jacobs Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000 - $4,000
Application Type: Auto-match

This scholarship was created to benefit a senior or graduate-level student. The applicant may be a U.S. or international student with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Manuel R. Torres Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000 - $3,000
Application Type: Additional application materials

This scholarship was established in honor of Manuel R. Torres (PK '98), who made the ultimate sacrifice and put others before himself. This scholarship benefits a junior or senior in aerospace engineering at Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering .

The recipient of this scholarship will also be considered for a paid internship at Aerion Corporation. 

Mark George Bouckaert Memorial Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000 - $4,000
Application Type: Auto-match

George and Phyllis Bouckaert established this scholarship in honor of their son to benefit a Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering  student. Applicants should be seniors in an engineering program. Financial need and GPA are not a consideration for this scholarship.

Preference will be given to students in mechanical, electrical or biomedical engineering majors.

Military and Veteran Scholarship

Award Amount: $4,000 - $8,000
Application Type: Additional application materials required

All U.S. military and veterans studying for an undergraduate degree in the Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering  are eligible for this scholarship.

Freshmen will be given preference.

Patrick P. Lee Foundation Scholarship

Award Amount: $20,000
Application Type: Additional application materials required

Applicants for this scholarship must be enrolled as full-time juniors or seniors in an engineering curriculum at the Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering  with a minimum 3.0 GPA. They must be U.S. citizens in order to qualify for this scholarship. Students must have no issues with the University's Office of Student Responsibility. Finalists will be chosen via individual interview after the application period has ended. This scholarship is renewable once. 

This award can cover tuition, fees, room and board, books and supplies (excluding computers but including computer programs).

Peter and Barbara Jackalus Scholarship

Award Amount: $4,000 - $6,000
Application Type: Auto-match

This scholarship is for all students at the Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who demonstrate a financial need. All undergraduates with at least 15 SLU credit hours and graduate students may apply.

Special consideration will be given to students with extenuating financial circumstances.

Peter Jackalus Graduate Fellowship

This fellowship benefits graduate students at the Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who demonstrate financial need. 

Peter Jackalus Memorial FIRST Robotics Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000 - $4,000
Application Type: Additional application materials required

This scholarship benefits freshman engineering students with a history of involvement in FIRST Robotics. Applicants must have a 3.0 high school GPA and a FAFSA on file with Student Financial Services.

Preference will be given to mechanical, electrical and computer engineering students. This award can be used for tuition, fees and room and board. 

Richard C. Gould Scholarship

Award Amount: $4,000 - $6,000

For junior and senior students from the greater St. Louis area enrolled in an aviation program at the Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering. Financial need is considered. Minimum GPA is 3.0. This scholarship can apply to tuition and flight fees.

Roland Quest Memorial Fund

Award Amount: $2,000 - $4,000

This scholarship was created from a bequest to support Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering students based on merit. This scholarship is available to all U.S. and international students with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Student must be a sophomore, junior or senior.

Royal Bondie Jr. Undergraduate Scholarship in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering

This scholarship was established by the family of Royal Bondie Jr., a longtime professor of aerospace and mechanical engineering at the Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering, to support students in the majors he taught. This scholarship is available to U.S. and international students in the aerospace engineering or mechanical engineering programs. Student must be a sophomore, junior or senior with a 2.8 minimum GPA. 

The Brian P. Murray Memorial Flight Fee Scholarship

This scholarship benefits a full-time undergraduate student studying aeronautics in the Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need.

Preference will be given to military veterans,  students who are committed to serve in the military and military dependents. 

Thomas C. Dunne Civil Engineering Scholarship

Thomas P. Dunne Sr., in honor of his father, established this named endowed scholarship to benefit a student pursuing a degree in civil engineering. Qualified applicants may be either U.S. citizens or international students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and should be a sophomore, junior or senior in the fall.

Fred Weber, Inc., established an endowed scholarship to honor the leadership and commitment of Thomas P. Dunne Sr. Dunne joined Fred Weber as a field engineer and has served as chairman and CEO since 1986. During Dunne’s tenure, Fred Weber has earned numerous recognitions, played a vital role in some of St. Louis’ most significant construction projects and become an integral part of the community.

Tom and Carol Swiercinsky Scholarship for Working Students

With the cost of education rising, some students do not have the family support to achieve their educational goals and dreams. These students are consistently searching for ways to work, support themselves and pay their tuition, fees and books. If they cannot achieve this, their grades often suffer. Therefore, without assistance, they usually attain a few years of college but then eventually drop out due to lack of funding. This scholarship seeks to alleviate some of that financial burden.

This scholarship supports a sophomore, junior or senior student at the Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering who also maintains a job while enrolled in classes. Applicants can be either U.S. citizens or international students. Applicants must provide a pay stub from employment during the academic year and have a minimum GPA of 2.25. 

Weber Family Term Scholarship

This scholarship benefits undergraduate junior or senior students majoring in aeronautics. The scholarship can be used to cover flight fees. 

William D. Houska, Sr. Endowed Scholarship 

Award Amount : $1,000 - $3.000

Jan Houska created this scholarship in memory of her husband to benefit a student studying aviation. Applicants can be U.S. or international sophomores, juniors or seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Women in Aviation Scholarship

This is for a female freshman student who has a minimum 3.5 GPA and is attending the Saint Louis University School of Science and Engineering for an aviation degree.
